Kind of like IM without all the bells and whistles eating up your drive. Will have to see how evident I prefer my presence; blatantly open like my constant flapping yap or clandestine like the those filled with fear that someone know's where they're lurking.
Keep it up with options, Vasco; you do us all proud with your constant care to make a difference.
Either way on the new option mate, the hits on my blogs just keep on happening. But it's nice to know when friends are here at 'home,' too.

Hey there - on my profile I ticked the 'show this information only to me re age and sex, but noticed it showed up on the onling blogging record? Is this right? Pro tem, while you advise, I have taken my name of the profile which I thought blog.co.uk were indicating could be private if the correct box was checked?

You can see the information, ohter users cannot. You shoul not be able to see it with another login, for example.
Hi - I don't actually mind, but I don't think what you are telling me is quite right!!!
I went in through a friends' log in and the information can still be seen. Why don't you try it out yourself and go in through another log in and password and see what happens?
Presumably this is because the section in which I share my gender and other info on my profile does not have a button that gives me the opportunity to indicate share this info with only me, as other sections do?

I agree with the above. To reveal my gender and age when I have ticked the box for it not to be revealed is an invasion of privacy. And I find it offensive to be defined, in the list, exclusively in this way.
Understood. You can uncheck the checkbox in your edit profile page (at the very bottom).
I've done that - this means I'm not listed at all! I can think of several one-word descriptions of me that would be far more revealing of my character or blog than my age reveals. The On line system is a good one, and i don't want to be excluded. Making a fetish of age in this way - to the exclusion of all other description is crass.
