As you can see from the statistics below (from Market Share), the vast majority of you blog with Microsoft's Internet Explorer, over five times as many than with Mozilla's Firefox browser. With Apple's launch of Safari for Windows, Microsoft's domination could be about to change.
Apple boss Steve Jobs thinks that it is capable of being just as successful as Apple's iTunes was on Windows, saying that Safari is "the fastest browser on Windows". But will this be enough to convince PC users to change, considering the strong position already held by Firefox as Window's 'alternative' browser? Or is this a tactical move based on the impending release of Apple's revolutionary Safari-running iPhone?
The latest feedback shows that Apple has a lot of work to do before it can challenge either Firefox or IE. It may be slightly faster, but is that relevant in a world increasingly turning to high-speed connections? Security bugs, lack of efficient keyboard shortcuts, lack of stability and a fuzzy and difficult-to-read display are all issues that need to be sorted out in this beta release.
Why not test it youself and let us know what you think? Safari 3 Beta is available free from Apple's website.

I love my firefox. My son's partner does computer as a hobby and when we moved he cleaned and loaded all new software onto mine. I'm about due for a visit from him soon.
I brother made me change to Firefox as he hates Microsoft's Internet Explorer. It's actually much better
I love Mozilla...I think it's excellent but it's amazing how many people don't realise you can use other browsers, and Windows Explorer counts on this...should advertise themselves better I think...even tv ads would help...wonder why they never advertise on TV...is the price? Might be worth it...
i-phone safari hasnt got a patch on browsers designed for high end Nokia's. Browsers such as Opera 8.65, Netfront 3.3, and Thunderhawk 1.0... I should know as i've been blogging with my phone for 2 years... Just as i'm doing right now.
Apple is every bit as much a cartel as MS. Nokia's open Symbian 60 platform offers far more freedom for installing tools, client application, and so on. Nokia have been on html 2,0 for years... And i-diotphone is just catching up.
I use both IE and Firefox browsers for different purposes. There are some things that are more efficient in one over the other and I can work with that for what I want.
