Yet another new feature here at BCUK. The co-author function has just been improved - in addition to the two current types (normal and moderator), there is now a new type - guest.
A guest co-author may only make posts that are visible to other co-authors, or save a post as 'Draft'. So it could be used as a 'trial period' for new authors, to have more control over your current co-authors or to facilitate completely private discussions between you and your chosen co-authors.

In addition to this, you can also display a blog's co-authors in the blog's sidebar. Just enter the Design Wizard in the usual way and drag and drop the module to where you would like it to appear.

By now you know our feelings towards your feedback.

I really like the co-author add, I've got a couple blogs with CAs and have made bloglists, this seems much tidier as I can separate it from my other lists.
A quick query on c-authors if I may cause this has jogged my mind... Is design factors still limited to the owner?
I know I've helped out with blog design probs with friends and unless they gave me their password (which I've always been very against) it's a case of talking them through bits.
It might be easier if they could add me as a "designer" on their blog, I could make the necessary code/design changes then slip out again, or co authors could hae a better input into shared blogs.
Could be nigh on impossible to code but if ou don't ask, you don't get
Unfortunately not even the 'moderator' co-author can change the design. I've been told that it won't ever happen either, sorry.
thats not true, it will happen sometime in the future, we just don't know when yet
where are my older postings?
