From today, all Pro and Founding members will be able to change to the new Design Wizard, if they so wish. On the 'My blog.co.uk' page, Mo (little blus plasticine man) will offer you the link that will convert you to the new Wizard. To avoid accidental conversions, you'll be asked again if you're sure. You can chage back to the old Wizard at any time, except if you use the very old designs from before December 2006.
The new Design Wizard will also shortly be available to free users. This gradual introduction will allow us to more carefully observe the effect that the new Wizard has on BCUK performance. Within two weeks, we expect that all users will be able to use the new Wizard - we will let you know about this in due course.
There's also a BCUK group blog all about the new Design Wizard - if you find any bugs or have any suggestions for improvements, this is the place for them. As you know, your feedback is very important to us and we always do our best to implement your ideas. We also aim to have reported problems resolved by the next day at the latest.
Thanks for your support,
your BCUK team.

Ooooh the temptation!
You should know better !!
You just know I've done it don't you...
So what's the difference between the new Design Wizard and the old one?
Incidentally, is that what is causing all Scandinavian characters and apostrophies etc. to look messed up in the blog headlines?
Am a 'founding member' but was denied entry into the 'join this group' when I clicked on the link at the page given after I chose to join. What a fuck-up???
I, too am trying to become a member, and I'm very much confused as to setting up my blog. Filled out all the fields, (I think) but am suffering a severe case of the "What de fucks" HELP.
Your end or mine??? For a cure I mean; heard Cressy is going to pass by and fill you in. He's a member too. Am off to the library.
Hope he enhances your pc familiarity,Tom; he's sure to enhance your pc.
Please send a mail to support@blog.co.uk and we will do our best to assist you.
That's because you're on blog.ca. You can only join groups from your own domain.
Thanks pal, have been 'enlightened' by a 'team' mate. Options have changed and are available to all now, methinks, yes??? In our own domains, I mean. Cudos to you and all for your brilliant efforts to keep this blog the best in blogsphere. Am a member elsewhere, but this place is home.
Bundles of hugs to all... neil
The new Design Wizard is now available to all, but you still won't be able to join the DW Group Blog for discussion unless you have a co.uk account.
I was able to sign in as 'yours truly,' but I get it now; I have to create a new blog site. Am thinking of doing one which unequivocally refrains from publishing any bad news. Shall have to use another avatar and have only this moment realized its name.
Guess you'll soon find out, before those not on the 'team,' eh?
BTW/ Have already tried, but published the wrong email addy for an account. But I don't know if the one submitted doesn't exists, made a typo unnoticed until I checked the mail account used to join. I'd still be waiting for a reply if I hadn't realized serendipitously and thankfully that I could back up to open the window where I had joined to discover, then was chagrined; the addy submitted was mispeeled. Shhh!
Is it possible to get together on this and have that 'faulty' address in the account info replaced with the proper one intended and still use the blog name and rest of the info submitted when I attempted to join blog.co.uk???
Could write you a private message with the 'addy' I'd used, is it possible for you to check if the account was even created. Something tells me that the account won't activate until a proper email addy is given. Yes???
Anywho my Celtic brother, thanks for biting me back. Always a treat to be reminded our considerate 'team' cares and attends rapidly to bloggers concerns. Sure do mine and I'm truly grateful no matter what I may instantly rage when the flow wrangles in my head.
I'm sorry
please forgive me
thank you
i love you
More of those hugs, eh. Peace!
What is a "founding member"?
Someone who has been on BCUK since the very early days.
I hope it doesn't affect the anti-spam safeguards as I have heard of horror stories about blogs which simultaneously close down all their commentators due to faulty IT systems.
I'd like to delete my profile. neither the new nor the old allows me to. Can you please make that possible?
Go to 'Profile' and then click on 'Delete Profile'.
My blog began in 2005 yep, a founding member, can you tell me, as i have so much content and fear losing it, am i able to nove to the new design and retain everything as is? Im scared!!
Nothing in your blog will be changed by moving to the new Wizard.
